Discount Fees and Non-Covered Services

In order to lower pay out costs, many insurance do not pay for specific medical services under the reason of 'specific plan exclusion'. These services are then listed as 'patient responsibility' and are not covered under co-payments, or co-insurance, or applied to deductible. In the past, we may have written these charges off as a courtesy instead of billing our patients. Due to the ever-increasing number of insurance companies that exclude charges and the more stringent guidelines regarding discounts, it is now necessary for us to implement a new payment policy in an effort to adhere to the guidelines. The following procedures are often identified as 'non-covered services' and may require additional payment on your part aside from your regular payment.
You may purchase a 2009 Outback Chiropractic Service Discount Card for $1. The discount card provides the following benefits: Cash discount prices* for non-insurance patients, charges applying to insurance deductible, non covered services, and a blanket fee of $10 for up to five therapies listed in red.
